Westmeath captain looks forward to big day in Croke Park
Westmeath camogie captain Aoife O'Malley joined the various other captains at the launch of the Very National Camogie League finals and said she and her colleagues are really looking forward to the game in Croke Park on Sunday.
Westmeath take on Derry for the Division 2A title at 12.30pm on what is a historic day at Croke Park as the camogie league finals precede the Leinster SFC quarter-final between Dublin and Meath in what is an eagerly awaited triple header.
”We are really looking forward to the game. Heads have been down preparing for it, and getting ready for the occasion. We have been training hard and putting in tough shifts since November. Hopefully this will be a good start to a long year," said Aoife.
The Very Camogie League Division 1A and 2A finals will take place in Croke Park on Sunday April 14, with the 2A final (Westmeath vs Derry) kicking off at 12.30pm and the 1A final (Tipperary vs Galway) at 2.30pm.
