Garda Stacey Looby from Athlone Garda Station's Community Engagement Unit hosted a road safety awareness day in TUS, Athlone on Wednesday.

This was a joint event with the National Ambulance Service and members of Athlone Fire Department.

The students were spoken to about various aspects of road safety and were shown up-to-date equipment used by the emergency services on a daily basis.

On social media, the Gardai expressed their thanks to everyone who attended.
