April date for Bressie's rescheduled podcast show in Athlone

Niall 'Bressie' Breslin is bringing his live podcast show Where Is My Mind? to Athlone's Dean Crowe Theatre on Saturday, April 13, at 8pm.

The Athlone show was originally scheduled for a date last November, but was postponed at that stage.

It has now been rescheduled as part of a run of thirteen live shows in various parts of the country this April.

The musician and mental health advocate from Mullingar is also bringing the show to Cork Opera House, the Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire, and Esker Arts Centre in Tullamore, among other venues.

In an interview with the Westmeath Independent last autumn, Bressie said his live podcast shows can be quite different from what people might expect.

"What they think it's going to be, it absolutely isn't," he said. "It's kind of an irreverent, funny and heartwarming look at the state of the little piece of meat between our ears.

"There's music, spoken word, guests, monologues, and stuff like that. It's kind of looking at the state of my mind, and the s**t it's done over the years.

"The podcast can be intense at times, but the live show isn't. It’s generally a lot of fun but people walk away with a lot in their arse pockets to think about."

Tickets for the show in Athlone on April 13 are on sale now on the Dean Crowe Theatre's website, priced €26.50.
