Athlone Town learn 2024 fixtures as several players rejoin

Athlone Town will begin the 2024 League of Ireland First Division season with a home match against Wexford on Friday, February 16 (kick-off 7.45pm).

This will be followed by away games against Cobh Ramblers on Friday, February 23 and Finn Harps (March 1).

FAI Women’s Cup champions Athlone Town will start their SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division campaign at home to Galway United on Saturday, March 9.

The fixtures for the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division, Men’s First Division and Women’s Premier Division were revealed last week.

Meanwhile, Athlone Town has announced the signing of Dylan Hand, who previously played for the club in 2021 and he now rejoins the midlanders for the 2024 season.

Athlone have re-signed a number of players for both the men’s and women’s squads ahead of next season.

Drum native Kayleigh Shine, last season’s FAI Cup winning captain Laurie Ryan, goalkeeper Katie Keane, Roisin Molloy and Madison Gibson have all re-signed for the women’s squad.

And it has been confirmed that goalkeeper Enda Minogue, Oisin Duffy, German Fuentes Rodriguez and Dan McKenna have all rejoined the men’s squad for the 2024 season.
