Athlone artist Anna releasing seventh annual fundraising calendar

Athlone artist Anna Boles has published her seventh annual calendar, which showcases her atmospheric paintings and will raise money for an important local cause.

Anna's 2024 calendar came back from the printers in recent days and is now being distributed for sale from local shops and businesses.

The calendar costs €15, of which 25% goes directly to South Westmeath Hospice. Anna has also secured sponsorship from a number of local businesses, and 100% of all sponsorship received goes to the hospice.

The 2024 calendar displays a selection of Anna's most popular works, including some riverside and woodland scenes, and a painting that takes in Athlone's town bridge, Athlone Castle, and the Church of Saints Peter and Paul.

"So far over the years, my calendars have raised over €10,000 for local charities," Anna explained. "They will be available to purchase throughout the town in the next few days, once I have confirmed with business interested in selling them."

She added that arrangements can also be made to post the calendar to those based outside of Athlone.

"Thank you to everyone for your amazing support over the years. It's very much appreciated as always," she said.

Anna also expressed her gratitude to her sponsors: Fusion Training Centre; Cunningham's Pharmacy; Topline Heavin's & Euronics; Sean's Bar; Athlone Chiropractic Care; Dean Crowe Theatre; Castle Inn; Ganly's Athlone Longford Mountbellew; Fernhill Athlone; Grovelands Childcare; Athlone & Castlerea Credit Union Limited and the Shamrock Lodge Hotel.
