Mundy to perform at 'Irish Artists for Palestine' concert this month

Birr singer-songwriter Mundy is one of the performers who is due to feature at an 'Irish Artists for Palestine' concert taking place in Dublin's Olympia Theatre on Tuesday, November 28.

Singer Mary Coughlan said the concert was prompted by "the overwhelming response from artists wanting to do something" about the current situation in Gaza.

In addition to Mundy and Coughlan, the line-up for the concert includes the Saw Doctors (acoustic), The Stunning, Mary Black, Frances Black, Fiachra O'Braonain and Tom Dunne, and many others.

The Palestinian ambassador to Ireland, Dr Jilan Wahba Abdalmajid, is due to be in attendance at the concert.

Tickets which are priced €30, with all funds going to the Red Cross, went on sale at 10am today.

Mary Coughlan thanked MCD for providing the Olympia Theatre rent-free, and she pointed out that Ticketmaster had also waived its fee for the show.
