Missing Westmeath teen located safe and well

Gardaí have said a 16-year-old who had been missing from Mullingar since Wednesday has been located safe and well.

Yesterday (Thursday), Gardai had sought the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 16 year old Melissa McDonnell who was last seen in the Pearse Street area of Mullingar, County Westmeath, at approximately 6pm on Wednesday.

This evening Gardai confirmed she had been found safe and well.
