After bearing the brunt of Storm Agnes earlier this week there is more rain in store for Cork, Kerry and Waterford.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow alert for the three counties, warning of persistent rain which will turn heavy at times.

The forecaster said the wet conditions may lead to localised flooding in some areas, as well as dangerous driving conditions which may cause travel disruptions.

The rain warning will begin at 8am on Saturday, lasting until 8pm on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday will be generally wet and breezy countrywide, with highest temperatures between 15 and 19 degrees.

The rain should clear into the afternoon but remain dull.

Met Éireann added that tides will be especially high on Saturday due to the supermoon.

Sunday is expected to bring a mixture of scattered showers and bright sunny spells.

Highest temperature will again be between 15 and 19 degrees.
