Athlone Telly Bingo player wins €50,000
A lucky Telly Bingo player in Athlone has won over €50,000 of the Snowball prize on offer in today’s draw.
The local player won their €50,000 share of the Snowball, as well as a €5 lucky line prize, after purchasing their ticket at Dunnes Stores in Irishtown, Athlone.
The other winner based in Kildare scooped €50,120, which included a XCross prize in addition to the Snowball, after purchasing their ticket at Donovan’s Centra in Greenfields Shopping Centre in Maynooth.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “It’s been an exciting two weeks for Telly Bingo players all over the country with the Snowball prize rolling since Tuesday 12th September. Today’s game saw two players in Kildare and Westmeath celebrating after sharing the €100,000 prize fund on offer. We are now encouraging all of our players who may have purchased their tickets at Donovan’s Centra in Greenfields Shopping Centre in Maynooth and at Dunnes Stores in Irishtown, Athlone to check their tickets very carefully. The winners are advised to sign the back of their tickets and to keep them safe. They should contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prizes.”
Over the past two weeks, anticipation has been building in the Telly Bingo game as the Snowball prize has continued to roll. On Tuesday, September 12, the National Lottery added €40,000 to the Snowball prize fund for the Super September Snowball promotion and as there has been no Snowball winner since then, the prize continued to roll.
The Telly Bingo game on RTÉ One gives players the chance to play Bingo in their own homes at 12.45pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at a cost of €2.50. Players hoping to be in with a chance of winning in the next game on Thursday are reminded that tickets can be purchased in-store ahead of the 11am deadline for ticket sales on Thursday morning.

In total more than €6 Billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 36 years ago. In 2022 alone, €259 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
