Athlone Gardai seeking owner of bag and purse handed in to station

Gardai are looking to find the owner of a small silver clutch bag with purse which was handed in to Athlone Garda Station.

In a post on social media, Garda Síochána Westmeath shared a picture of the bag (above) and asked if anyone had been missing it.

The post added that the contents of the bag would confirm its ownership.
