Appeal made to local community over criminal damage at Clara amenity area

Gardai have sought the public's assistance in connection with an incident of criminal damage at an amenity area in Clara over the weekend.

In a social media post this evening (Monday), Gardai shared a photo of a picnic bench that had been vandalised.

"A bench at Rabbit's hill/ Esker way/ Doorey way, Ashfield, Clara, was destroyed over the weekend," stated the Garda post.

"It was located about 100 metres up from carpark, at viewing point."

The message appealed for anyone with information to come forward, saying: "The answer to this lies within the community of Clara."
