Countdown is on for SRCC annual cycle event

The countdown is on for one of South Roscommon's most popular cycle events next month.

South Roscommon Cycling Club (SRCC) will hold its annual cycle on Saturday, July 1st next, with all proceeds this year going to to St Hilda’s Special School, Athlone.

There are two options for cyclists interested in taking part, the 120km cycle gets underway at 9am, while the 60km cycle commences at 10am.

Registration takes place from 8am on the morning of Saturday, July 1 at Clann na nGael clubhouse, Johnstown.

Both routes will travel through different areas of South Roscommon before returning to Johnstown.

There will be food stops, post-cycle refreshments and showers available on the day.

Race fees are €20 for Cycling Ireland members, and €40 for non-Cycling Ireland members.
