Noel O’Callaghan, retired regimental sergeant major, Mullingar, presented a new book, ‘The Defence Forces 1922-2022’ by author Eoin Kinsella, and nine oral histories to the Westmeath Library Service

The oral history recordings of service are part of the Defence Forces Military Archives Oral History Project and Westmeath Library Oral History, recording the service of all ranks and service of the Defence Forces.

At the presentation with Noel on Friday last, June 9, were Pat Gallagher, chief executive, Westmeath County Council, Edel Scally, local studies librarian, Mullingar; and Deirdre Broderick, executive librarian, Mullingar.
