Businesses urged to get festive for drama spectacle

The RTE All Ireland Drama Festival is coming to town from April 27th to May 6th next, and the committee wants to create an amazing atmosphere for visiting actors and playgoers.

Businesses are being urged to help show their support for the festival by dressing up their window displays to represent the story for one of the nine amazing plays. There will be a Best Dressed Window competition with three categories. The competition is sponsored by Spectrum Signs, so get creative and showcase your business's unique style! In addition to everyone’s individual efforts, our local County Council will dress up the town with banners, signage, and bunting to add to the festivities.

There are also vibrant festival stickers for you to put in your windows. Let's make Athlone come alive with drama and excitement and celebrate 70 years of the All Ireland Drama Festival in the town.
