Ollie Hegarty is Director of ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ taking place in Athlone Little Theatre from April 13 to 20.

Early bird offer for next Athlone Little Theatre play

Hot on the heels of the sold out run of 'Philadelphia, Here I Come!, which finishes this Thursday, Athlone Little Theatre is delighted to announce its next play is not far away! 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' by Edward Albee, and directed by Ollie Hegarty, will take place from April 13 to 20 next at 7.30pm.

And to celebrate more great local drama, Athlone Little Theatre has an early bird offer where tickets for the play will be just €12 on www.athlonelittletheatre.ie for just over two weeks when you use the promo code EarlyBird. Offer closes on March 31.

'Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' is a twisted, poisonously funny living room comedy where alcohol consumption and games-playing are central to the plot. Its sharp-tongued script, wicked sense of humour and four outstanding individual performances makes it a must-see night of entertainment. The local cast features Emer Dunne, Richard Brennan, Katharine Wheatley and John Quinlan. Although the line between truth and illusion becomes very thin at times, the play is ultimately uplifting and cathartic.
