Status Yellow wind and rain warning for Ireland
Flooding in places expected.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning in effect for the whole country, with very windy conditions on Wednesday and widespread gales.
Blowing southerly and veering westerly, “some severe and damaging gusts may occur,” the national weather forecaster has warned.
“A spell of heavy rain will occur, leading to flooding in places,” adds Met Eireann, with the Yellow warning in place from 4am on Wednesday until 9am.
The UK Met Office has also issued its own weather warning, predicting that heavy rain “may cause travel disruption and, in a few places, flooding”.
A Yellow Status warning is in place for counties Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry, in effect from 8am until 3pm on Wednesday, November 2.
