Headliners announced for popular midlands music festival

The headline acts for the Body&Soul music festival in Westmeath have been revealed.

Róisín Murphy, Pillow Queens and Sampa The Great will perform at Ballinlough Castle in Clonmellon from June 17 to 19.

Following a two-year hiatus, the festival is halving its numbers, with just 5,500 weekend tickets available, promising 'a meticulously curated, strikingly smaller event.'

The festival will also welcome artist, Californian singer-songwriter Remi Wolf; experimental musician and producer Yves Tumor; and Dublin artist CMAT, whose debut album, If My Wife New I’d Be Dead, topped the Irish charts earlier this year.

Other acts performing include Kelly Lee Owens, Lee Fields (aka Little JB), Magdelena Bay, M(H)Aol, Godford, Yard Act, Soda Blonde and Sofia Kourtesis.

A queer cabaret show led by Candy Warhol will be serving up brunch in the festival’s 17th century walled gardens, an area that will be dedicated to food and live entertainment.

Organisers say this year’s edition will be the first circular festival in Ireland, with plans to recycle, reuse and repurpose all elements of the production.

Body and Soul festival has sold out every year since its debut in 2010, growing from 1,800 attendees then to 15,000 in 2019.

A weekend camping ticket costs €250 and is available on their website bodyandsoul.ie
