Venue change for Bower's All-Ireland semi-final

The Lidl All-Ireland Schools LGFA Senior 'C' semi-final between Our Lady's Bower, Athlone and Virginia College has been moved from Kinnegad to Lakepoint Park.

The semi-final will now take place today (Monday), March 14 at Lakepoint Park (home venue of St Loman's Mullingar GAA), with a slightly later throw-in time of 1pm.

Our Lady's Bower defeated Mount Sackville SS from Dublin in a thrilling Leinster final on March 2 in Kinnegad. The Athlone side battled back from 12 points down to eventually win on a scoreline of 5-7 to 5-6 (see report on the Leinster final by clicking here).

The Bower and their Cavan opponents are now preparing to do battle for a place in the All-Ireland final.

Managed by Deirdre Slevin, the Bower team is captained by Abby Curran.
