Dean Crowe to host two free music events

The Dean Crowe Theatre is set to feature two free music events next month with the assistance of the Local Live Performance Scheme, which is jointly supported by the Department of the Tourism, Culture and the Arts and Westmeath County Council.

The first event takes place on Friday, February 4 next when popular Athlone band Cillian Hill will play a gig in the Dean Crowe bar. Featuring Keith Flynn, Shane Gough and Liam Flynn, the band have a very loyal following on the local music scene and are looking forward to seeing all their fans in the Dean Crowe bar on February 4 next.

The gig gets underway at 7.30pm and Eva Coyle will also play a set on the night which promises to be a great kick start to the Spring season of live music events once again with the lifting of Covid restrictions.

The second Dean Crowe live music gig takes place on Friday, February 11 next and will feature Colin Fahy, who has over 20 years of experience in the live music industry, and he will be accompanied by another very accomplished musician, Paul Gurney.

This promises to be a great night of musical entertainment in the intimate surroundings of the Dean Crowe bar, so why not come along for a drink and a chance to listen to some great songs spanning the last four decades.

The February 11 gig gets underway at 8pm, and patrons are reminded that, while both gigs in the Dean Crowe bar are free events, capacity is strictly limited and entry is on a first come, first served basis.

Early arrival at the Dean Crowe is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

Both these events are kindly supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media and Westmeath County Council as part of the Local Live Performance Scheme and will operate in line with the prevailing public health advice in place at the time of each performance.
