One change for Westmeath as Down visit
Westmeath have made one change from the team which ran All-Ireland finalists Mayo close last weekend.
Jack Smyth has been named in place of Sam McCartan in the side picked to line out against Down in today's Division Two clash at 1.45pm in TEG Cusack Park.
There are a number of positional switches in defence, though the midfield pairing and front six are identical to the starting line up named for the Mayo match.
Westmeath are already destined for a relegation play off, but Jack Cooney will be hoping that encouraging displays in his side’s last two games will translate into their first league points today.
The Westmeath team and subs is:
Jason Daly; Jack Smith, Kevin Maguire, Boidu Sayeh, James Dolan, Ronan Wallace, Jamie Gonoud, Sam Duncan, Ray Connellan, David Lynch, Ger Egan, Ronan O’Toole, John Heslin, Luke Loughlin. Subs: Trevor Martin, Lorcan Dolan, Kieran Martin, Noel Mulligan, Sam McCartan, Conor Coughlan, Conor Slevin, Tommy McDaniel, Brandon Kelly, Fola Ayorinde, Nigel Harte.
