Westmeath now sit proudly on top of Division 2 after three games.

In-form Westmeath stay top of Division 2

WESTMEATH remain top of the Allianz Football League Division 2 following Sunday's heroic recovery against Galway in Tuam Stadium. Pat Flanagan's side trailed by six points at half-time but rallied to earn a valuable away point, largely courtesy of Denis Corroon's 54th minute goal. The result followed up victories for the Lake County in their opening two matches against Louth and Longford. Roscommon, meanwhile, were on the other end of a comeback while recording an identical scoreline to Westmeath's in their latest Division 3 encounter against Wicklow. The Rossies led by four points midway through the second half but were pegged-back by Wicklow, who equalised through Jacko Dalton's last gasp goal (the game finishing Roscommon 0-13, Wicklow 1-10).
