Dinner with Jack L

The Olive Grove restaurant is hosting an evening of food and music with Jack L on Thursday, March 25, next. A three course dinner will be followed by a live performance by the award-winning, platinum-selling Jack L for what is bound to be an electrifying performance. Jack L has been regarded as a very special performer since first bursting onto the music scene with his debut album eleven years ago and over the years has established himself as one of Ireland"s most remarkable live performers, delivering cabaret torch songs with a velvet-throated baritone and an earthy charisma like no other Irish musician. Jack has been compared to and inspired by Scott Walker, Jacques Brel, Frank Sinatra, Jim Morrison and Tom Waits but is, at the end of the day, very much his own man and his unmistakable and remarkable voice takes over the airwaves whenever he is played. His show "Chez Jack L" was one of the most successful theatre shows in Ireland during its tenure and ran for four months in "Spirit" in Dublin before touring to sell out houses throughout the country and Jack also brought the show to Europe and the USA to great acclaim.
