Ward advances to quarter finals of world boxing championships

Moate's Joe Ward has advanced to the quarter finals of the world amateur boxing championships in Kazakhstan. 

This morning (Tuesday), the 19-year-old defeated Hungary's Norbert Harcsa on a unanimous points decision.

He will now be in action again tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon, knowing that a win in the quarter final bout will guarantee him a medal.
