Dynamic Foróige club enjoy trip to Key Forest Park

Dynamic Foróige club, based in the Asylum seeker centre in Lissywollen, travelled to Lough Key Forest Park in Roscommon on a fun day out last weekend. 13 members, aged between 12 and 18 and three leaders left the centre in Athlone at 10am on Saturday morning. The members in the club are from different cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds and do not often get to go on a trip outide the county. The club sponsored the day out and Westmeath Community and Rural Transport kindly subsidised the bus. The first stop was Boda Borg which is like a mental and physical maze within the centre. The members and leaders spent nearly three hours working out clues and trying to navigate their way into different rooms. The members thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of Boda Borg and were ready for food after their stint in the centre. Afterwards the group headed to Supermac"s in Carrick-on-Shannon for a quick fix of lovely food at good prices. Then it was back to the centre in Lissywollen. A great day was had by all and the members outshone themselves with their enthusiasm and sense of fun. Some of the members are going to the neon disco this weekend in Mount Temple which promises to be a night of dance and fun with over 200 members expected. The next trip away is already being planned. Dynamic Foróige club meets on a Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm and is currently looking for more volunteers.
