Road works at major athlone junction

There will be road closures at the Crescent junction this week and a stop/go system in place early next week to facilitate works on the watermains rehabilitation project.
Yesterday (Tuesday) and today part of Gleeson Street was closed to facilitate the work, while tomorrow and Friday the closure will move over onto Grace Park Road. Some connection work is to be carried out in the area early next week, but this will not necessitate a closure and instead a stop/go system will be in place.
Most of the watermains project is now complete, with just 10% of the project yet to be carried out.
