Tune in tonight to the final programme in the Operation Transformation series as Rosemount's Alan Mullen celebrates shedding a whopping 33 pounds in the series.

As the eighth series of Operation Transformation reaches its climax this week, the national campaign has proven to be another success with this series’ five leaders collectively losing nearly 10 stone.

The grand finale of this year’s Operation Transformation will be broadcast tonight, on RTÉ One at 8.30pm.

The five leaders – Veronica Horgan, Eilish Kavanagh, Mark McArdle, Alan Mullen and Louise Ormsby - have collectively lost almost 10 stone, with Alan Mulen having lost 2 stone 5.5 lbs. Having started the series at 26 stone 8.5 lbs, he concluded at 24 stone 3 lbs.

All the excitement and emotion of the final reveal can be enjoyed on Operation Transformation tonight, Thursday at 8.30pm on RTÉ One Television. The final episode will be available to watch on the RTÉ Player for 21 days after broadcast.
