Video irish tv at the westmeath independent sports awards

A new programme on the Irish TV channel has looked at the rise of Robbie Henshaw and some of the other local sports stars honoured at the Westmeath Independent Sports Awards last month.

Irish TV's cameras were in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel to film the awards ceremony at which Henshaw received the Westmeath Independent Sports Person of the Year Award.

The footage was then included in a sports-themed edition of its 'Westmeath County Matters' programme.

The programme also includes a visit to the local rugby star's old club, Buccaneers, and his former school, the Marist College.
