The deceased who was in her early fifties, a native of Ballintubber, was daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Norris. A large number of mourners from the Midlands travelled to South Tipperary for her funeral. To her husband Thomas, daughter Orna, son Thomas, brothers Michael, Johnny and Charlie; sisters Teresa, Colette, Joan (her twin sister), Deirdre and Adelaine and all the extended family sincere sympathy is extended. Jim Tone RIP Rosemount learned with sadness of the death on Wednesday 28th January last of the death of Jim Tone Ballintubber. The deceased who would have celebrated his 94th birthday in mid February was pre-deceased by his wife Annie two years ago. Jim was until recent years very active and enjoyed outdoor life cycling to Streamstown daily. He took a great interest in the community and was a great supporter of the local football team. To his family Rosemary, Charlie, Josephine, Joe, Jean, Gerry, Eileen, Sean and Frank, sisters Eileen and Margaret and his extended family we extend our sympathy Johnny Ward RIP On Thursday last 29th January, news spread of the death of Johnny Ward late of Baile Bric Og the deceased who was in ailing health for some time would have celebrated his 85th birthday in early February. Johnny gained fame in his younger days as one of the stars of the Westmeath Senior Football team in 1949 which reached the Leinster final. He also enjoyed outdoor life and was a postman in his younger days, his mother being the local post mistress. To his wife Nancy, son James daughter Una, sisters Teresa and Mary and his other relatives, sympathy is extended.
