Person injured in road accident at Athlone IT
A man had been airlifted to hospital after he was injured in an accident involving a bus in the vicinity of Athlone IT this morning (Thursday).
Gardai were on the scene at approximately 11am, and they said the injured party had sustained leg injuries as a result of the impact from the bus.
He has been taken by air ambulance to Tullamore Hospital
It's believed that the incident occurred between the Athlone IT bus stop, on the Garrycastle Road, and the Cypress Gardens housing estate.
No arrests have been made in relation to it.
