Moate to host 4th Midlands Craft Beer Festival

The 4th annual Midlands Craft Beer Festival will take place in Don’s Bar, Moate this Saturday.

Kicking off at 3pm the beer festival is sure to delight all punters with a wide selection of craft beers on offer for the day. A full bar will also stock all the usual beverages and an assortment of cocktails will be available.

Seven different brewing companies will provide over 20 craft beers with some having just recently launched. Beer aficionados can expect a variety of different craft beers from companies across the country that they wouldn’t normally get on tap, including the Rye River Brewery who produce over 20 beers in Kildare and will provide some of their finest beers under the Solas, Crafty Brewing Company, Grafters and McGargles brands. They recently launched limited edition seasonal beers including a Belgian Imperial Stout which was introduced at Alltech Craft Brews & Food Fair.

Longford-based, St Mel’s Brewing Company was set up in 2013 to produce chemical free beers made from 100% natural ingredients. They manufacture three different beers including a pale ale, a brown ale and Helles lager. Other beers and ales will be supplied by Costello’s Brewing Company, Kilkenny, Dead Centre Brewing and Midlands Beer Collective. 

There will be plenty of entertainment for those enjoying the craft beers with Eamon Hatton & Friends and Toxic Twins performing throughout the day with The Crooked Jacks and a DJ closing the festival. The Crooked Jacks play traditional Irish music with their inspiration coming from the Dubliners, the Pogues and Mumford and Sons.
A BBQ will be fired up for the foodies with pizzas and fries on offer too. 

Tickets cost €5 and will be available on the door.
