Connaught Street market returns for St Patrick’s weekend

The Connaught Street markets are returning for the St Patrick's Day Bank Holiday weekend.
Taking place in Connaught Gardens on Sunday, March 16 from 12pm to 4pm, the market will include fun for all the family.
"It's going to be a great day for the family, and especially for the kids," said Tim Dowling, Vice Chair of the Connaught Street and Environs Community Group.
"There will be about 15 stalls with food, ice-cream, crepes, and all sorts of goods."
The highlight, perhaps, of the market will be the addition of two live alpacas.
"They will be available all day for people to look at and pet, and we do think the alpacas will be a very exciting thing for the children."
The first ever Connaught Street market took place in August of this year for Heritage week.
"It was such a brilliant success," Tim said. "We decided we wanted to start hosting them more frequently, and we're aiming to host them once a month on each Bank Holiday weekend."
Tim and the rest of the team from Connaught Street and Environs Community Group look forward to the event.
"We hope that it will be a great community event, and something that will bring people together to celebrate the weekend."
