Anna's 2025 calendars raise almost €2,000 for South Westmeath Hospice

The fundraising calendars produced by Athlone-based artist Anna Boles are continuing to prove popular, with the 2025 edition raising close to €2,000 for the South Westmeath Hospice.

Each year Anna produces calendars which feature her scenic paintings of the Midlands. She sells them for €15, with a quarter of this going directly to a chosen charity.

Today (Thursday) she met with Clare Lennon of the South Westmeath Hospice committee to present a cheque for €1,815 which was raised for the hospice from this year's sales.

"This is my eighth year to publish my calendars, which have raised over €14,000 for local charities here in Athlone over the years," said Anna.

"It was a pleasure as always meeting up with Clare Lennon of South Westmeath Hospice this morning to present her with the money raised this year.

"Thank you again to all of the amazing local businesses whose support made it all possible again this year. And, of course, to all who purchased one!

"I'm forever grateful for your constant support for my art," added Anna.
