Ballinasloe native, Heather Payne, is in line to win her 50th international cap should she be selected in the Ireland women’s national team to play Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League in Tallaght Stadium tonight (Friday).

The defender will be hoping to make an impact in a fixture which marks Carla Ward’s debut as head coach, Ireland aiming to start their League B, Group 2, campaign with a positive result ahead of travelling to Koper to take on Slovenia on Tuesday, February 25.

The game, which kicks off at 7.30pm, will be televised live on RTE2 and the RTE Player.
