Singer/songwriter from Taughmaconnell, Ciara Lawless, who is set to release her first single of 2025 ‘Dreams’ on February 21 next.

Taughmaconnell singer-songwriter, Ciara Lawless is set to release her new single, 'Dreams' later this month, which is the first release from her upcoming sophomore album which will be released in May.

Blending catchy melodies with a poignant message, Ciara has described 'Dream' sas “an upbeat, fun 80s inspired pop song inspired by the creative spark in dreamers whose ambitions fade when left unpursued.”

The talented local entertainer began her musical journey began under extraordinary circumstances. At age six, she survived a traumatic accidentwhen a steel gate fell on her, causing catastrophic injuries to her right leg. Unable to walk for six months, she turned to music, immersing herself in piano and guitar lessons as a form of healing.

Ciara later honed her vocal skills through classical and opera training at the Academy of Music in Tullamore, where she competed in national and international competitions. This led her down the professional route, where she began singing professionally at funerals - a role she describes as both an honour and a profound way to connect with people.

With a successful debut album last year, her new single 'Dreams' is the first of three planned single releases for 2025, dropping on the February 21. The album from which the new single is taken is due for release on May 2 next.
