Loughlin makes GAA.ie's Team of the Week again

Westmeath's footballers may have started their Division 2 campaign with a pair of defeats, but Luke Loughlin has impressed in both matches.

For the second week in a row, The Downs forward has been named on the GAA.ie's Team of the Week.

Loughlin was Westmeath's top scorer in their away clash against Monaghan on Sunday finishing the game with 0-10, including three two pointers.

Just like their opening day home defeat to Louth, there was much to admire about Westmeath's performance in Clones. However, with two rounds completed Dermot McCabe's men are rooted at the bottom of the table.

Next up is an away trip to Cork on February 15 and Westmeath fans will be hoping that Loughlin and his team mates can secure their first win of the season.
