Headline acts announced for Night and Day festival
Headline acts for the Night and Day festival in Lough Key Forest Park have been announced.
The festival will take place from June 27 to 29, and has become one of the best small festivals in the country.
Headline acts throughout the weekend include Jose Gonzalez, KT Tunstall, The Wailers, The Stunning, Lisa Hannigan, Joshua Burnside, Daithi, Bog Bodies, Dug, Frank, Skinner, Yard, Shark School, Dark Isle, James Keegan and Jester.
Families are a key element of the Night and Day festival community, and festival organisers have ensured there will be plenty for kids to get stuck into across the weekend.
This year’s schedule includes dance workshops, comedy show with Professor Plunger, knitted craft making, ancient bemusement games, circus skills, foraging for medicinal herbs, fierce fun face painting, and little gems puppet show.
There will be natural craft making with Willowbrook glamping and hideaways, Pottery painting, kids yoga and mindfulness, a vintage rope walk, bird and bat box building with Roscommon County Council, maia purposeful play sessions, an imagination playground, creative nature activities.
Those attending the festival can also avail of zip-lining, kayaking and nature trails on offer in Lough Key Forest Park.
Creative Director of Night and Day Declan Hurley said: "We are delighted to offer an extended programme of activities this year. Along with some familiar favourites, we have added new performances and activities that cater to the whole family."
Tickets for the event are priced at €165.00 + €2.50 booking fee for a Tier 3 Weekend Camping - General Campsite ticket or for a Tier 3 Weekend Camping - Family Campsite which admits one adult, with tickets for children under the age of 14 priced at an additional €2 per child.
Caravan camping is available, and is priced at €60 + €2.50 booking fee for a Campervan/Caravan Pitch - Park B ticket.
