Foster and Allen on cover of Ireland's Own ahead of sold-out Athlone gig

Midlands musicians Tony Allen and Mick Foster have appeared on the front cover of the Ireland's Own 2025 Annual ahead of their '50 Years of Hits' gig in Athlone.

Their sold-out Athlone show is set to take place in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel this Saturday, January 18.

The cover of the popular magazine and the '50 Years of Hits' tour come as part of a celebration marking the Westmeath duo's huge international success over the past fifty years.

Remebering the place where it all started, Mick Foster recently told the Westmeath Independent: "Our first night playing together was in 1967, at the Hodson Bay Hotel, with the Marylanders."

In that sense, the Athlone gig is a home-coming for the duo, and the Midlands town is sure to give them the warmest of welcomes.
