Motorway outside Athlone reopens after accident

The eastbound section of the motorway between Ballinasloe and Athlone is fully reopened after a collision this morning.

The collision two kilometres west of Athlone resulted in a section of the motorway being closed for a time this morning.

Emergency services were also at the scene and lengthy traffic delays were reported.
