Local secondary school not to open tomorrow

One local secondary school is remaining closed tomorrow (Thursday).

Moate Community School did not open today, and in a post on social media this evening, it said it would remain closed tomorrow.

"Due to the continued weather conditions and forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning, we have no choice but to close the school, tomorrow, Thursday 9 January.

"We anticipate that the school will reopen on Friday morning.

"Thank you for your understanding and cooperation," said Moate Community School.
