Athlone Library to host an evening exploring the science of music
Athlone Library is hosting an evening exploring the science of music on November 14 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
The event will feature the fantastic Bohemian String Quartet, as well as a range of popular tunes, movie themes and classical hits with MC Claire O’Connell, a science communicator and music fan.
Between tunes, we’ll hear a little about why we all love music so much, what happens in our brain when we listen to music and how we can use music to help us when we are feeling stressed.
Enjoy a free music concert, and learn a little about the science of music, while you sing along with your favourite tunes.
Bohemian Strings have performed with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, Mick Flannery, Richard Clayderman and many more.
This evening exploring the science of music will include classic hits from the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Depeche Mode, the score from the Mission and a number of classical favourites.
Booking is advised for this event. Please note a ticket is for one person.
