Actor Steve Buscemi calls into Sean's Bar in Athlone for a pint!

A new name was added to the list of famous visitors to Sean's Bar in Athlone last night (Wednesday), when Hollywood star Steve Buscemi stopped in for a visit!

The actor from New York has starred in films such as Reservoir Dogs, Fargo and The Big Lebowski, and appeared in TV shows including The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire.

The 66-year-old has been in Ireland for the last number of weeks, and appeared on stage at the Abbey Theatre last month as part of the theatre's 'Love at First Sight' series.

On social media, Sean's Bar shared a photo of the star standing outside the pub, with the caption: "When Steve Buscemi calls into Sean's for a pint!"

A number of well-known personalities have visited Sean's through the years, including fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger, US actor John C Reilly, and rugby star Bundee Aki, among others.
