People Before Profit select Roscommon-Galway candidate for election

Andrew Mannion has been selected as a People Before Profit candidate for the forthcoming general election, in the Roscommon-Galway constituency.

The activist and Ballinasloe native advocates for people-powered movements in trade & tenant's unions and community action groups to fight for change alongside representatives who struggle with the same issues that they experience.

In a statement Mannion said: “I’m proud to have been selected to be the People Before Profit-Solidarity candidate for Roscommon-Galway for the general election. In this election we will have the opportunity to finally end 100 years of Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil rule.

"They leave behind a legacy of a housing crisis, hospital waiting lists and a chronic lack of resources and supports for children and people with additional needs. It’s long past time to be rid of them.

"Another Ireland is possible. An Ireland in which we invest the wealth in public services, to establish an Irish NHS, to provide free childcare in a public system, and truly free and inclusive education."
