Ballinahown artist brings 'Time Out' exhibition to Fernhill

A Ballinahown artist who now lives and works in Mayo is delighted to bring her work to Athlone for a special art exhibition in Fernhill Garden Centre, which runs until the end of November.

'TIME OUT' is a unique fluid art exhibition featuring the creative work of Kate Barrett (née Mullins) from KAM Art & Design, who lives with her husband Michael and twin boys, Jamie and Evan, just outside Westport in county Mayo.

Kate says that most of her unique work is inspired by The Wild Atlantic Way and also by her work as an Energy Therapist.

Her striking artwork will be on display in Fernhill Garden Centre on the Ballymahon road in Athlone until the end of November and would make a ideal Christmas gift. The exhibition takes place in the Fernhill Art Exhibition Space, which is located to the right-hand side of Savoury Fare Restaurant.

Kate’s work also includes Acrylic Pour Collections on ceramic, wood, canvas, glass and stone, and she also creates Art Jewellery Collections from glass, natural stone and shell beaded earring collections.

Her art jewellery includes various sizes of pendants, bangles, bracelets, earrings, brooches and rings, all made using hypoallergenic stainless steel.

Each piece of art and jewellery is a “unique one -off piece” handmade by Kate in her studio overlooking the beautiful Mayo countryside.
