Athlone Community Radio to host fundraising music table quiz
Athlone Community Radio has announced details of the second event in its fundraising series, following the success of the recent Sports Table Quiz. The station will host a Music Table Quiz on Thursday, October 24, at 8pm at The Bounty, with local singer Shanie Mac as quizmaster.
These fundraising efforts aim to engage the local community and raise essential funds to support the station’s work in Athlone.
Building on the fantastic atmosphere and participation at the recent Sports Table Quiz, this next event promises another exciting evening, centred around music trivia. Participants will be tested across eight rounds, with categories including Name the Instrument, What Year?, Who Said?, and Complete the Lyric. Featuring both audio and visual questions, the quiz offers something for everyone, from casual music fans to devoted enthusiasts.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, and spot prizes will be handed out throughout the night to keep the energy high.
This event is part of Athlone Community Radio’s ongoing effort to reinvest in its operations following the station’s successful securing of a new 10-year broadcasting licence from Coimisiún na Meán (CnaM).
Funds raised will support the station’s continued role as a vital platform for local voices, promoting talent and providing important news, discussions, and entertainment for the Athlone community.
Athlone Community Radio is calling on the local community to support its growth and development.
All proceeds will be reinvested to improve facilities, enhance programming, and create more training opportunities for people across the region.
The event takes place on Thursday, October 24, at 8pm in The Bounty, Athlone.
