Annual Blessing of the Animals takes place this weekend
The annual Blessing of the Animals is set to take place in Athlone this weekend.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind invites pet owners to the grounds of St Peter's and Paul's church this Sunday, October 6 at 2pm.
The event takes place outdoors, and welcomes pets of all shapes and sizes to receive a blessing.
Events have taken place in various parishes across the country, including one other in the Midlands in the Sacred Heart Church in Roscommon.
