Two women charged over seizure of gold bullion worth €1.4m

Two women have been charged over the seizure of €1.4 million in gold bullion, €460,000 in cash, and €210,000 worth of drugs in Dublin.

This followed searches of residential and business premises on September 27th and 28th.

Two women, aged in their 30s and 50s have been charged and are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Wednesday.

Farhats Bathijevs (55) has already appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Monday in connection with the incident.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
