Westmeath Libraries announce launch of ‘Well Westmeath’ this autumn

Westmeath Libraries have announced the launch of ‘Well Westmeath’ taking place this autumn in Athlone and Mullingar Libraries.

The initiative will feature a series of free public talks and workshops focused on health and wellbeing.

The series will kick off with “Getting started with your Health & Wellbeing” in Athlone Library on Wednesday, September 18 from 12pm to 1pm, and in Mullingar Library on Thursday, September 19 from 12pm to 1pm.

At the event, Deirdre Ryan from Present Moment Meditations will offer coaching on ways to approach your well-being.

Finding reliable health information can often be overwhelming, with so much information available from various sources.

‘Well Westmeath’ aims to make health information easy to understand by using clear, everyday language.

These events are designed for those aged 55 and over but will be of interest to anyone seeking practical advice and tips on improving their health and wellbeing.

Join Westmeath Libraries for free talks on a range of topics, including healthy eating, mental health, local healthcare services, and more.

Talks and workshops will continue weekly for five weeks, with additional talks taking place after Halloween.

While the events are free of charge, please note some events require booking.
