Athlone events for European Week of Sport announced

Westmeath Sports Partnership will be holding a full schedule of events under the theme 'Move With Us' during European Week of Sport, which takes place from September 23 to 30.

Events taking place around Athlone include women's kick fit at Athlone Regional Sports Centre (RSC) Astro on Tuesday, a parkrun at Athlone RSC and a Men's Shed Walk in Moate on Saturday, September 28, and a 'Get Athlone Walking' event at Athlone Castle on Sunday, September 29.

This annual celebration of physical activity aims to inspire people of all ages and abilities to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

The 2024 campaign has a special focus on focus on inclusion, well-being, and belonging, with activities planned to accommodate people of all abilities and experience.
