They couldn't be separated after finishing 2-2 following 120 minutes of play.
Spot kicks were called for with Declan McDaid slotting the crucial penalty to progress 4-2.
They go into the last 8 as a result.

Irish sprinter Israel Olatunde broke the national record for the 100 metres this afternoon.
The Dundalk runner clocked a new personal best of 10.12 seconds to win his 100m section at the NEB Open in the UK.
He knocked 0.5 seconds off his previous record that was set in the final of the 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich.
Cycling
Australian rider Kaden Groves took the stage win on day two of the Vuelta a Espana this evening.
He bested Wout van Aert after the 194km ride into Ourem.
However, the Belgian will wear the leader's red jersey into tomorrow's third stage.
