Ballinahown to feature on Friday's RTÉ Nationwide programme

The excellent community work carried out on in the village of Ballinahown will be the focus of a special report on RTÉ's Nationwide programme this Friday evening, April 11.

The show's cameras visited the picturesque village near Westmeath's border with Offaly for filming with some local faces late last summer.

A promotional outline of the Nationwide report stated: "It took the little village of Ballinahown in County Westmeath over 30 years to win 'Tidiest Village in Ireland' in the SuperValu Tidy Towns competition last year.

"It’s been the county winner in Tidy Towns for over twenty years, and won its first gold medal in 2023, as well as gold at Entente Florale last September.

"Marian Malone has been to meet the inspirational community volunteers behind its many successes."
